Year 24

In memory of my last day as a 24 year old… I’m going to look back. In teacher education they make you reflect till you are unable to reflect anymore. So, I reflected- it’s my teacher nature…. Without further adieu: The top  of the top of year 24.

Watching my nephew grow into a little boy.

Probably the most awkward picture ever. This picture makes me smile because well, look at that kid. It is from June, at least I think it was June. He has orneriness oozing out of every single pore in his body. I love watching him grow up and the happiest day was when he learned that I am “Oulie” and listening to him say “mom and Oulie”  and then smile, it made my heart melt. My favorite words are “mommy” and “my mommy”. I love when he looks into his mom’s eyes are says those beautiful words.

Spending time with kids everyday.

3rd grade teacher

First day of 3rd grade. 🙂

I can’t even lie, being a first year teacher for 4ish years in a row is taking a toll on me. It is hard. I still love being around kids. They are the light of my life. Truly. Even when I complain, I love them. Kids are the future, I’m glad I can educate them to make their future a bright one.

 Starting Spinach and Sprinkles

I started Spinach and Sprinkles in my 24th year and made some amazing friends. *cough* *cough* I’m talking to you! *cough* *cough* ….I have learned so much about myself and gotten feedback that has supported me though some tough times. This community is the best! THANK YOU!

Celebrating my first year of marriage

Julie, the husband, Kiee, and Bear

The husband and I got to celebrate our first year of marriage. This has been an amazing year of togetherness. I feel so bless to love this man. I feel so blessed that he loves me back. I can be a pain sometimes, I know this must be a huge surprise 😉 I have been known to turn up the thermostat and run the blender at 5:45 AM while the amazing husband is in bed. He still loves me. I am a lucky girl. This was taken on our first anniversary via photo timing. We got the cats to look! 🙂  Our family!

My sister giving birth to the angel in my life- my niece.

Being an Aunt is the BEST!

In September, my sister gave me another amazing gift- my niece. I love this little girl with my whole heart. I am so excited to watch her grow into a beautiful woman and make her momma proud, I know she will. My heart tells me God has big plans for this little angel. I got to hold her for about 4 hours straight last weekend. Time stood sill. The clouds parted. I was in heaven, except for that I couldn’t hold the niece and nephew at the same time. I guess I need to see them more so I can be in heaven all the time.

Going to California with the husband!

Husband & Julie in front of the Painted Ladies

In front of the painted ladies.... again, sorry husband. But, you made the trip. ❤

A moment frozen on film…. I’m thankful for that.

We had the time of our lives on our ♥Honeymoon Re-do♥ to California! I am so glad that we went!

Year 24 has definitly had its ups and downs. I find that every.single.up. is due to “someone”. It is the people in life that matter. I will go into my 25th year trying to be the best Julie that I can be for the people I love.

Have a wonderful day! We are closer to Friday than we were yesterday!
